1. Seen from outside

   Each service is checked every few minutes from outside our servers, as a customer sees it.

2. Three failures in a row

   A single failed check changes nothing: a service is only shown as failing after three failed checks in a row.

3. Never an old green

   Without recent data, the page does not guess: it shows “Unknown” until it is updated again.
